Mi deviation nº 100!
Y por ello, tenía que ser algo especial, no, es broma , este dibujo lo comencé hace bastante tiempo y he puesto mucho empeño en él. Quería representar una escena tranquila, sin ningún tipo de heroísmo u hombres musculazos muy atractivos XDD, tan solo dos personajes que me gustan y son muy humanos, Stephen Maturin tocando el chelo y James Dillon escuchando. Me encantan estos dos irlandeses (de ahí el nombre del dibujo ), pertenecen a las novelas de Patrick’O Brian y desde el primer momento sentí simpatía por ellos, y sabía que tarde o temprano los uniría en una imagen.
Es uno de los pocos dibujos “completos” que he decidido subir, no me gusta dibujar fondos, me cansa, sin embargo, mi objetivo era hacer una ilustración completa en todos los aspectos (personajes, fondo, colores, luces, sombras, etc)
El camarote está prácticamente copiado de la Surprise tal y como sale en la película de Master and Commander… (Si, sé que Dillon no tiene aparición en este barco pero no encontré una referencia mejor o más bonita XDD)
Por o demás, tengo que decir que ha sido un trabajo difícil, una de las ilustraciones más complejas que he hecho a pesar de su sencillez y he disfrutado mucho dibujándola (aunque me haya sido un tanto desesperante la pose con el violonchelo, el fondo y algún elemento más), también la pura ilusión de hacer un trabajo interesante me llevó a consultar antes de terminar y doy a gracias a quien ha opinado sobre mi boceto, que ahora está en mi sección de scraps.
Espero que el tiempo y la ilusión por este dibujo haya merecido la pena… aunque en realidad pasará sin pena ni gloria…
Por último siento mucho poner la marca de agua y el dibujo en baja calidad pero pertenece a un proyecto al margen de esta galería y desconozco si debe estar aquí. Por ahora permanecerá así. Espero que guste

And for it, I had to do something special, it's only joke , I began this drawing some time ago and I worked in it a lot. I wanted to represent a relaxed scene, without any type of heroism or very attractive men with big muscles XDD, only a couple of characters that I like and they are very human, Stephen Maturin playing the chelo and James Dillon listening him.
I love these two Irishmen that appear in Patrick O’Brian novels and from the first moment I like them .

It is one of the few complete drawings that have decided to submit here, I don't like to draw complicate backgrounds, however, my objective was to make a complete illustration.
The cabin is based on HMS Surprise in the film "Master and Commander"… (Yes, I know that Dillon wasn't in this ship but I didn't find a better or more beautiful reference XDD)
I have to say that it has been one of the most difficult illustrations that I have made in spite of their simplicity and I enjoyed drawing it. To create an interesting work, I consulted doubts before finishing it, thanks to people that has given me their opinion on my sketch that you can see in my scraps.

In the end, I'm sorry to put a watermark and the low quality but it is part of an important project and I don't know if it should stay here.
